Library Facilities
NNI has its own Library containing almost every Tibetan work and major
Buddhist scriptures for both class and referential uses. The Head Librarian
and his staff manage the Library. Every year the Library brings out new
publications of textbooks taught in the curriculum. Students can borrow
most of their textbooks from the Library, nevertheless it is much better
if students can get their own set of books taught in the syllabus as
the Library doesn't have enough texts for the whole class.
Editorial Committee
The Editorial Committee of the Institute is made up
of two separate boards. The Advisory Board, consisting of elder Khenpos
chaired by H.H.
Penor Rinpoche, gives counsel to the Board of Editors. A few Khenpos,
lecturers, assistant teachers and students with outstanding performance
constitute this Board. The members of the Board of Editors change almost
every year and each group publishes a new work on various subjects under
the label "Ngagyur Rigzöth Editions". Since its initiation
in 1992, the Board has brought out three new books on Nyingma History,
Vinaya precepts and Padmasambhava's Biography.
Printing Works & Facilities
NNI has it own printing materials. The new Press run by a group of our
own members was formed in 1993 in order to publish some rare and important
texts in the syllabus. The first publication is already out and further
printed works shall be coming out soon. In addition to the linotype block
printing facilities, the Institute also owns a group of computers. Several
monks are learning different computer programs under the guidance of
Tulku Ajam and Ngedon Rinpoche. Many books have been published using
computer typesetting and laser printer in the past years and more works
are being produced.
